CFChSC

Inaugurated in April 1994, CFChSC provides training with an operational focus and an interfaith approach. CFChSC is dedicated to the training of all Canadian Forces chaplains and chaplains from emerging nations. The Chaplain School and Centre strives to develop the professional competence of chaplains in its provision of spiritual, pastoral, moral and ethical support to all members of the Canadian Forces and their families.

CFChSC provides training spanning a chaplain’s entire career, from recruit level to senior leadership. Courses include Chaplain Basic Officer Training, Ethics, Pastoral Counselling, Chaplains in Deployed Operations, Intermediate, Advanced, Chapel Life Coordinator (Protestant and Roman Catholic), and Ministry in a Pluralistic Environment. CFChSC has the capability to offer courses in both official languages.

The Commandant, along with Training, Standards and Administrative Support staff, are committed to developing and providing high quality, adult education to prepare chaplains for ministry at all levels in the Canadian Forces.
